i left south carolina, and i'm back in rexburg idaho.
i left this.
for this.
and i'm not too happy. i was enjoying all the beautiful tree blossoms, the green, and the hot weather. and now i have to pull back out all my jackets and get used to the tan of idaho. (that green in the picture, a lie. the mountains are too far from rexburg at least to see.)
video of the week:
ben lee covers a ataris song about how much ben lee sucks. this is really funny and amusing to me.
food of the week:
so....i like peanut butter. normally i'm a crunchy peanut butter kind of gal. however, i found the best thing in the world. it's whipped peanut butter. it's like...candy or something. like the kind of whipped peanut butter in those girl scout cookies or something, it's so fluffy and delicious. it also has 1/3 less sugar, so less calories. i think it's because it's fluffed so it's not as much peanut butter i suppose.
book of the week:
so i saw the new alice in wonderland a few weeks ago. i recommend it, it's not horrible like burton's charlie and choco-factory. and then i watched disney's alice in wonderland a few days ago. and does anyone remember the alice in wonderland movie with martin short as the mad hatter, whoopi goldberg as the cheshire cat, and deb from napoleon dynamite as alice? anyway, that one out of all of them is the most similar to the book. and my memories of it have encouraged me to go back and read lewis carroll's Alice's Adventure's in Wonderland.
also. i've recently been thinking about work i would enjoy doing revolving around an art degree. i think book cover design would be awesome. not necessarily illustrating, but for novels and books that don't have pictures, but just the cover. and this might be a job only available in the publishing department who knows, but it would be fun i think.
car of the week:
yeah. i went there.
chitty chitty bang bang.
i think this should be my new car.
i can drive, fly, and sail.
also, take a look at this.
and then this.
i love dick van dyke.
artist of the week:
BANKSY.
i'm going to europe in two weeks. almost exactly.
and i was just talking with some cool gals who are also going on the trip, and gosh, we want to do a banksy tour.
i hope we are able to, we have free days so i'm going to start researching the option.
exciting!
banksy is an awesome artist. incredibly creative. i want to see that movie about him as well some time.
musician(s) of the week:
TELEKINESIS.
i like this darling band from seattle.
i especially like their song that mentions the coasts of carolina, called, coast of carolina.
they have a good sound, kind of poppy.
creation of the week:
again with the headbands.
side-note: i want a puppy. preferably...this one.
