it's too late.

it's been too late, for a long time. elliott man you played a fine guitar...
ben folds lyrics aside, i had a long week, (why must you be so busy mellow mushroom? and also, why must dna be so stupid and difficult?)
and i was late in posting my 'of the week'es,
but alas, here they are.

video of the week:
Noah and the Whale-Blue Skies.
it's a trailer actually, for the movie, i need to see it.

i like noah and the whale alot.
a majority of their music is more mellow like this, but one of their fun poppy songs that i love is 5 years time.

food of the week:

oh waffle house. the southern trucker's favorite place....him, and me. i love waffle house. i've only had a waffle from there like once or twice, but oh my gosh, their omelets and grits. delicious. they are open 24-7, which means i usually eat there past midnight. they may have a c rating, which leads some people to want to choice ihop over waffle house, but i can assure you, waffle house is the number one choice.

also, for some reason this picture reminded me of another restaurant/diner painted by edward hopper...

book of the week:
so i'm still reading confederacy of dunces, and a sarah dessen romance book. so the book of the week is none other than the.....

a friend gave me some sage advice this week from 2 kings 2:23-24. if you ever think about making fun of someone for being bald....think again!
hahah.

car of the week:
VW golf mk1....i don't know what it is, i just think cars that are as old as me or older are the cutest. i wouldn't mind owning a new vw golf either though. but that's an awesome blue, i think i have nail polish that exact color.

artist of the week:
Matte Stephens [first, neat way to spell your name matte] is yet again, another artist from portland. gee, i gotta go there.
i really like the patterns, colors, and simplicity.

and also, he proves cats are evil.

musician of the week:

meaghan smith.
megan. meagan. meghan. wow, she combined all of them.
anyway, you probably have heard meaghan smith before....she did the snazzy cover of 'here comes your man' by the pixies on the wondrous movie (500) Days of Summer soundtrack.
she's got a real soulful sound, which i like.
check out her album 'cricket's orchestra'!

creation of the week:

as stated in my previous facebook status... what? you don't check effbook daily? what,i you don't read my status's religiously? yeah, i wouldn't either.
point of the story is i can crochet better than your grandmother.
well, actually, right now, just headbands. i saw alot of these headbands out west and some 20's like flapper headbands at urban, and thought on some people, they're darling. i figured they wouldn't be too hard to make, so i went on an adventure, and so far this is what i've crocheted out.

side note: i'm in desperate need of a new camera. take a look at those pictures...yeah, i took them with my camera i got sophomore year...6.2 mega pixels baby. i'm taking suggestions. i need a good one for europe.
