fall out boys.

seems the boys from Fall Out Boy are falling out..... okay.

video of the week:
now, they won't all be music videos i promise you. there is a political one i saw this week i liked, but i saw this today and thought...ok go. you're neat, and kind of creative.

food of the week:

i kind of really like eating healthy. like last semester i only bought natural or organic food. did not buy anything that had highfructose in it. and so i've been getting healthy cook books at the library. [i'm not there everyday, i promise. i just check out like 25 books at a time when i go. like the book for this week.]
but this was a healthy oatmeal based fruit pizza i made twice this week. it was delicious. it was supposed to be kiwi and raspberry, but i couldn't find any kiwis..lame, they're like the best furry fruit. them and peaches.

book of the week:

my friend Ben suggested i read this book, so i am. i'm still reading Eating the Dinosaur, [it's not a sit down and read book, it's kind of just a pick up and read a chapter and then move on book] too. actually right now i'm reading four books. a romance, a....Klosterman book, the Book of Mormon, and this comedic novel. i mean, washington post said it's, "a corker, an epic comedy, a rumbling, roaring avalanche of a book."

i like the cover art as well.
[this was once an occupation i wanted to have. book art.]

car of the week:

i normally do not like red cars. like at all. i just think cars looks like cheap sports cars when they're red. but this car has changed my view. it's beautiful. i wouldn't mind being a range/or land rover gal.

artist of the week:

NICK DEWAR. he died this last week, at age 37, he was an artist in newport, california. his stuff is simple, but i like it. he did alot of editorial illustration, and was known for designing the book cover for the devil wears prada. [you know, before it was a movie, because as we all know, the best movies were books.]

musician(s) of the week:
dead man's bones.
it's LARS! ryan gosling from lars and the real girl, and the guy from the notebook. and his friend. and this creepy children's choir.....
now these guys were circulating around halloween alot on npr podcasts and online, and i listened to them alot to get in the mood. but mostly i'm excited about the summer album release.

it's interesting music. it kind of reminds me of arcade fire, Ryan sounds quite like Win. my favorite song was my body's a zombie for you.

creation of the week:

so my bedroom was really lacking some color. i left all my art and posters in storage at school.
so instead of spending money, i'm saving for europe, on flowers, i just made my own.
i think i'm going to work on them, make more intricate pedals, and find more interesting branches, but i like them none the less.

side-note of this week: i found like 3 new thrift stores this weekend while getting lost on garners ferry (weird.) and in west columbia. guess what i'll be doing when i get off work this week?
probably spending money i shouldn't spend, on things that will need to be altered, just adding more to do on my d.i.y. list. exciting.
