kendal in wonderland....reincarnated.

hello blogspot,
it's been a long time, nearly two years. and you did look the same, and then i reincarnated you. and i think you've achieved close-to blog nirvana...

you used to be a site for me to upload pictures from my trip to washington, dc for my family. and to detail calendar events of my senior year. and my teenage feelings. that was then. this is now.
i've decided since i will be:
1. in columbia for four months
2. only taking two online classes
3. working at mellow mushroom
4. on the computer alot
5. and bored
that i would start up a [real] blog. here it goes. here it goes again.
[if you imagined four stylish musicians on treadmills... neat.]

i've decided my blog will be about 7 things. 7 is my favorite number. and there are 7 things i am interested in now that i can see myself to fully be able to blog about in the future. and i could just randomly blog about whatever i want to at that moment, and hey, i just might some days. but one of my new years resolutions is to be more organized. so here it goes. [again, ok go.]

video of the week:
peacebone by animal collective

now, strawberry jam is like 2-3 years old. but this video was introduced to me last summer by my dear friend tessa. it creeped all my roommates out. and i don't know what it is, i watched it once, and then again and again. i just enjoy it alot.

food of the week:
THAI!

i was introduced by my friend jessica last year, and again by clare a few weeks ago. i left proclaiming i was in love, and his name was thai. thai food. i have to look into people's eyes when i tell them how wonderful thai food is, so that they can understand. i suppose this is a big deal to me, because i eat american food pretty much always. and i firmly believe we are missing out.

book of the week:

i've been doing alot of crafy things lately, with all the time, and not being at college thing. i went to the library, because reading is power, and picked up this gem. one of my best friends is in japan, and i thought how great- i'm making asian fabric flower crafts, and he's making asian dragon paper crafts.
they say they're simple, but it takes a while to get the hang of it. if you'd like one, i could make you one. on one condition, you don't put a giant one on your pony tail to wear in public like so many utahans do.

car of the week:

'89 jeep wagoneer with wood paneling....
i don't have my own car now, and i'm always looking. and there might be something wrong with me, i know. but this is my dream car. it's just...beautiful. i like big and boxy cars. i always see a granola black woman driving one allover town, it's not fair. i'm sure it would cost $100 to fill it up, and it's as old as me, but i just love it.

it's the CAR OF THE YEAR....
or week.

artist of the week:
dustan knight
i'm not mad about water color, it's not really my best medium. but oh my, she does some amazing things with watercolor.
she's got a masculine name, but she does flowers oh so well.
check her out.

musician(s) of the week:

lisa mitchell

i love good music.
she is darling. she's just an australian singer with a nice voice. it's pretty poppy and witty. she's popular in the uk, and in my itunes.
i'd give a listen to:
coin laundry and then neopolitan dreams.

creation of the week:

xxl mellow shirt into puff sleeves.
they gave out free shirts last march and i got the last one, which means i got an xxl. i took in the sides last year. as i was wearing it this year i realized how long the sleeves were and decided to give it puff sleeves. we don't have strict dress codes at mellow, everyone just wear a shirt and jeans. i wanted to make my work outfit cuter. i think i accomplished this

oop, second creation.
tonight, while watching house i made this
headband out of an old t-shirt.

so there you have it. kendal in wonderland reincarnated.
i'm back blogger.com, this should be fun.

p.s. i tried, but can't figure out the extra spaces. hm. maybe i'll read up on HTML for dummies.
